Assessments

Please note that I am not allowed to provide you with an expert opinion if you are already my patient and I am not allowed to treat you even after I have provided you with an expert opinion. Driving license appraisals are excepted from this.

1. Court appraisals

As a generally and juridically certified expert for ophthalmology, I also conduct examinations and assessments for the court. You will receive a written invitation from me to the examination date which you should please confirm.

2. Private expert opinion

If you wish a private expert opinion, please discuss this with your lawyer in advance and submit specific questions for the private expert opinion. When making the appointment, please let me know that it is a private opinion. A private opinion is not reimbursable by health insurance. You will receive a fee note with sales tax.

3. Driver’s license report

A driver’s license report is also available. Please let us know when you make your appointment that it is a driver’s license report. A driver’s license report is not reimbursable by health insurance. You will receive a fee note with sales tax.

These examinations usually take about an hour. Please bring any previous findings, your glasses and medications with you to the examination and do not come to the examination yourself by car, as I will probably give you pupil-dilating drops and you will not be allowed to operate a motor vehicle for 3 hours afterwards.
